Merton Community Renovation Referendum (2008)

The Merton Community Renovation Referendum was a school bond issue on the November 4 ballot in the Merton Community School District, which is in Waukesha County. The purpose of the referendum was to issue debt in the amount of $3,000,000, with the funds going to the school budget. The funds will be used to pay for renovations to school buildings and grounds, upgrading systems, and replacing equipment.

Text of measure

Be it resolved by the School Board of the Merton Community School District that there shall be issued pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of renovating, remodeling, improving and maintaining school buildings and grounds; upgrading technology infrastructure and the telephone systems; and acquiring and installing related fixtures and equipment; and making replacements


Approved by 2,055 to 1,374.
