Knisely was defeated as one of three candidates running for the two positions in District 28 on the ballot in the November 2, 2010, general election. He was defeated by Democrat incumbent Thomas Campbell and Republican incumbent Denny Canterbury. Only the top two vote-getters were elected. He defeated Democrat Aaron N. Deskins in the May 11 primary election.[1][2]
