Biography

Vasilinda's professional experience includes working as a DER Key Coordinator for the United Way Campaign from 1986 to 1988 and an educator at Tallahassee Community College.[1]

Elections for the office of Florida House of Representatives will take place in 2014. A primary election took place August 26, 2014. The general election will be held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Incumbent Michelle Rehwinkel Vasilinda defeated Arnitta J. Grice-Walker in the Democratic primary and is unchallenged in the general election.[3][4]

On November 4, 2008, Vasilinda won election to the Florida House of Representatives from Florida's 9th District, defeating Peter Boulware (R) and John Shaw (NPA). Vasilinda received 41,362 votes in the election while Boulware received 40,932 votes, and Shaw received 2,808 votes.[8] Vasilinda raised $198,198 for her campaign; Boulware raised $566,388, and Shaw raised $2,585.[9]
