Mike Griffith was a 2011 Republican candidate for District 40 of the Mississippi State Senate. He finished third in the primary election behind Sidney Albritton and Angela Hill.

Griffith works at Griffith's Discount Tire. He studied sports development and coaching at the University of Southern Mississippi.[1]

Griffith ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 40. He lost to both incumbent Sidney Albritton and challenger Angela Hill in the primary on August 2, 2011. Those two candidates will face off in a primary runoff election on August 23, 2011. No candidates ran in the Democratic primary election. The general election took place on November 8, 2011.[2]
