Millsap & Aledo School District Tax Measures (November 2009)
The Millsap school district sought to add an additional 13 cent on local property taxes and was proposed to help pay for maintenance and operational expenses the school district incurred. District officials stated that they needed the money in order to keep up with the changes in the economy and keep the students up to standards in education. The measure was defeated.

The Aledo school district sought to approve a 12.5 percent increase in maintenance and operations taxes in order to compensate for the reduced funding rate. This was not meant to actually increase the areas residential taxes, just reallocate the taxes that were being paid to the school district. The measure was defeated.
