The Minnesota Coalition on Government Information is a network of individuals and organizations "committed to open access to public information in print, electronic and digital forms" based in Minnesota.

Mission

The Minnesota Coalition is a network of individuals and organizations committed to open access to public information in print, electronic and digital forms. Its members include librarians, media representatives, lawyers, community activists, computer professionals, educators and others who care about openness in government, information access and the public's right to know.

FOIA Day and awards

The Minnesota Coalition on Government Information announced its 21st annual "Freedom of Information Day and Award Ceremony" for Tuesday, March 16, 2010. At the award ceremony, attendees heard from the keynote speaker, Chief Justice Eric J. Magnuson, and the John R. Finnegan Freedom of Information Award was presented to Reed Anfinson.
