The Missouri State Lottery Amendment, also known as Amendment 5, was on the November 6, 1984 ballot in Missouri as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure authorized a state lottery and permitted the legislature to set certain standards. The measure also provided for the division of funds received.[1][2]
