The Missouri Increase in Retirement Benefits Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 2, 1982 ballot in Missouri as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have authorized cities and counties to provide periodic cost of living increases for retirement benefits for employees.[1][2]
