The Missouri Motor Vehicle Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 8, was on the November 2, 1982 ballot in Missouri as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have enacted a tax for certain motor vehicles in place of a tax on fuel for those vehicles.[1][2]
