The Missouri Student Assistance Amendment, also known as Amendment 7, was on the August 3, 1976 ballot in Missouri as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have authorized enactments of laws providing services for the handicapped, non-religious textbooks, and transportation for all public and non-public elementary and secondary schoolchildren.[1][2]
