Hayfork is a Census-Designated Place (CDP) located in Trinity County in northern California. The county's population was 13,786 according to the 2010 U.S. Census.[1]


Trinity County underperforms the rest of California in terms of higher education attainment, median income and poverty rate. The 2010 U.S. Census found that 19.7% of Trinity County residents over 25 years old held undergraduate degrees compared to a 30.5% rate for the state of California. Trinity County had a median income of $36,569 in 2010 compared to $61,400 for California. The poverty rate for Trinity County was 17.7% in 2010 compared to an 15.3% rate for the rest of the state.[1]
