Myrtle Cole is the current District 4 representative on the San Diego, California City Council. She won re-election in the 2014 city council elections, but her new term does not begin until December 10.

The city of San Diego, California held city council primary elections on June 3, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 6, 2014. Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, the general election scheduled for November 4 was called off. Incumbent Myrtle Cole defeated Blanca Lopez Brown, Tony Villafranca and Bruce Williams in the primary election.[1][2]
