Nebraska Legislative Research Division
The Legislative Research Division is monitored by Legislative Council.
The Legislative Research Division was formed in 1937.
The Legislative Research Division handles all requests for legislative research from legislators, committees, and their respective staffs. Also, they prepare all memos and reports related to research requests.
A legislative library is maintained by the Legislative Research Division. The library disseminates all information to legislative staff.
Performance Audit section
The Legislative Research Division is responsible for supervising the Performance Audit Section of the Nebraska Legislature. The purpose of the Performance Audit Section handles all audits of legislative programs in the State of Nebraska to see if they are effective in its mission. Also, how they carry out legislative intent is measured.
