New Hampshire Senate Bill 112 established the requirement that any constitutional amendment concurrent resolutions to contain the language for the voter's guide. This bill was introduced and sponsored by Sen. Peter Bragdon (R-11) and signed into law by governor Maggie Hassan.[1]

Provisions

According to the National Conference of State Legislatures website, New Hampshrie SB 112 "provides that a constitutional amendment concurrent resolution (CACR) shall have the text of the language for the voter's guide, if any, as part of the CACR."[2]

This means that if any constitutional amendment is proposed in the legislature, it must include a proposed text of the language for the voter's guide. Previously the process of writing and approve the text of the voter's guide was done at a separate time after the resolution for the amendment was approved.[3]
