There may be a New South Wales Fixed State Government Term proposition on the 2011 State ballot in Australia.

Thousands of NSW residents have signed a petition that calls for a referendum vote to allow residents the power to call early elections if they thought it necessary. The government is not saying its against the idea, but stated that it was good to be able to discuss the issue. The petitioners have collected 15,279 signatures already. If this is voted on, it would ask residents if they want the choice to have an election if their current government is not performing as they would want.[1]
