The Newbury School District tax levy appeared on the February 3, 2009 ballot in Geauga County for voters in the Newbury School District. The levy was approved by voters.[1]

The question facing voters was whether to approve a 6.72-mill emergency tax to raise $1.2 million a year. Homeowners would pay $205 a year for each $100,000 in market value.[2]

School district voters rejected a similar request in November 2008 by 7 votes.
