Nichole 'Nicki' Serbin was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 37 of the Illinois House of Representatives.


Serbin attended Joliet Junior College, Illinois Center for Broadcasting and Chicago State University.[1] Her professional experience includes working as a radio broadcaster, stand-up comedian, comedy writer, event host, owner of a DJ business and as a political researcher.[2][1]

The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was December 2, 2013. Nichole Serbin defeated August (O'Neill) Deuser in the Democratic primary, while Margo McDermed defeated Gayla Smith and Arthur Lukowski in the Republican primary. McDermed then defeated Serbin in the general election.[4][5][6][7]
