The North Dakota Public Ownership of Industries Initiative, also known as Amendment to Section 185, was on the November , 5 1918 ballot in North Dakota as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1] The measure allowed the state, county and local governments to engage in industry, enterprises or businesses not in violate of Article XX of the North Dakota State Constitution.[2]
