The North Dakota Legislative Power and Direct Democracy Referendum, also known as Legislative Power, Initiative and Referendum, was on the June 25, 1940 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have required 15,000 signatures for both initiatives and veto referenda.[2]
