A Northeastern School District Bond Measure was on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the school district of Northeastern which is in Clark County.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 2,584 (40.88%)
  • NO 3,737 (59.12%)Defeatedd[1]

This measure sought to create a bond which would help with construction of buildings throughout the district. This was the last chance the district got to also receive state funding to help with forthcoming building projects.[2] In an effort to better inform residents, school officials had held meetings that discussed this bond issue and offered residents the chance to ask questions about the district's intentions with the money. General information about the school had also been presented, in the hopes that the better the community understood the school and it's needs the more likely to get a positive vote in August. If approved, the bond would have raised 59 percent of the needed funds for the building project, with the remaining percent coming from the Ohio Schools Facility Commission.[3] School officials also had tried to stress the point that building the new facilities now would be less costly than doing it later, the schools would be funded almost by half by the state.[4]
