Text of measure
The language appeared on the ballot as:
|| To authorize the issuance of bonds and notes in an amount not to exceed $1,750,000,000 to be paid from an additional levy of 9/10 of one cent per gallon gasoline tax, commencing April 1, 1976, and from other highway funds and the general revenue fund of the additional gasoline tax monies are insufficient, for the development, restoration and upgrading of highways and other transportation facilities.
