The language appeared on the ballot as:
|| Proposed Constitutional Amendment
To amend Sections 4 and 9 of Article XII, Ohio Constitution
- To require a return of not less than 50% of the estate taxes to political subdivisions in which they originate as may be provided by law.
- To require the general assembly to raise sufficient revenue annually to pay the principal as well as interest on the state debt as it becomes due.
The Secretary of State shall assign Section 9 if on this effective date of the amendment Section 6 is already assigned.
