The Oklahoma Ad Valorem Taxes for Public Schools Amendment, also known as State Question 368, was on the April 5, 1955 ballot in Oklahoma as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided for and placed restrictions on ad valorem taxes for public schools. The measure also authorized additional uses of the revenues, increased the debt limit of school districts, removed limitations on certain contracts beyond the current year and provided additional funds for buildings and capital improvements of school districts and state institutions.
