TULSA, Oklahoma: The winner of Oklahoma House seat for District 45 is still being decided weeks after the election. Candidates Paula Roberts (D) and Aaron Stiles (R) sought out a recount of the votes as the difference between the two totals was 16 votes, with Stiles winning the vote. Roberts submitted a petition to take the matter to court, citing irregularities in the votes which make it that a winner cannot be determined. Roberts claims that those who were not eligible to vote did indeed vote and those that should have been able to vote were denied their vote. Roberts also claims that mistakes were made by voting machines and absentee ballots were not handled properly. The Cleveland County court which will hear the case, is expected to decide on the validity of Roberts' petition.[1]
