Oklahomans In Action
Oklahomans in Action was a citizen activist group working in Oklahoma. For the year 2006, the group sponsored two initiatives for the ballot, the Stop Overspending Initiative and the Protect Our Homes Initiative. The group conducted a paid and volunteer petition drive in a 90-day period ending in December 2005 to qualify both measures for the November 2006 ballot.
The group was directed by Pat Highland, but other community leaders included Rick Carpenter and a petition drive management company National Voter Outreach (NVO), which was directed by Susan Johnson. The organization partnered with Americans for Limited Government during this period.
