An Olive Township Fire Levy Increase measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Olive, which is in Ottawa County.

This measure sought to increase the current fire levy by a rate of $.75 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of two years in order to further pay for fire equipment costs in the township. It was approved.

Shall Olive Township impose an increase of .75 mills ($.75 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for a period of two (2) years, 2012 and 2013 inclusive, for fire and emergency equipment and apparatus for the Olive Township Fire Rescue, raising in the first year an estimated $116,677.50?[1]
