The city of Fresno, California held city council primary elections on June 3, 2014. Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, the general election scheduled for November 4 was called off. Incumbent Oliver Baines defeated Wanda Hemmitt, Barbara Ann Hunt, Eddie Rashad and Lisa Brewer in the primary election.[2][3]


Baines and his wife, LaShawn, have one child, Ashley.[1]
