The Oregon $125,000 for the University of Oregon Act, also known as Measure 8, was on the June 1, 1908 ballot in Oregon as a veto referendum, where it was approved, thus upholding the legislation. The measure increased the annual appropriation for the University of Oregon from $47,500 to $125,000.[1]

Path to the ballot

House Bill 37, the legislation being vetoed, was passed by the House of Representatives on February 11, 1907 and by the Senate on February 17, 1907.

Measure 8 was filed in the office of the Secretary of State on May 23, 1907.[1]
