The Oregon Gas Tax Increase for Highway Repair Bill, also known as Measure 5, was on the May 23, 1978 ballot in Oregon as a legislatively-referred state statute, where it was defeated. The measure would have increased the gasoline tax and allocated revenues from such tax to highway repair.[1]
