The Oregon Literacy Requirement and Voting Age Amendment, also known as Measure 1, was on the May 23, 1972 ballot in Oregon as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have removed the literacy requirement for voting and lowered the voting age in the State of Oregon.[1]
