The Oshkosh Area School District Elementary School Bond or Question 1 was a school bond measure on the April 7 ballot in the Oshkosh Area School District which is in Winnebago County. The referendum was brought to the ballot by the school board, and it sought to issue debt in the amount of $15,000,000. The debt funds would be used to pay for the construction of a new elementary school on Ryf Road. This new school would replace the existing Oaklawn Elementary School and the former Sunset Elementary School. The building would stand two stories and cover 88,529 square feet. The goal is to use it for academics during the day and for the community in the evenings.[1]

This measure is one of three going before the voters on April 7th in the Oshkosh Area School District. You can read about the others here: Oshkosh Construction Referendum and here: Oshkosh Maintenance Referendum.
