Biography

Paul B. Strickland is a realtor at Coldwell Banker Real Estate. He was also a candidate for the 38th Assembly District and has been a radio host with 1220 KHTS AM.[1]

Paul B. Strickland ran against two other candidates, including fellow incumbents Joe Messina and Bob Jensen for three seats in the general election on November 5, 2013. The election was canceled and did not appear on the official ballot.[2]

Santa Clarita outperforms the rest of California when measured on the basis of median household income, percentage of residents living below the poverty level, percentage of residents over the age of 25 with a Bachelor's degree and percentage of residents over the age of 25 with a high school diploma. The median household income in Santa Clarita was $83,579 compared to $61,632 for the state of California. 31.7% of Santa Clarita residents aged 25 years and older attained a bachelor's degree compared to a 30.2 in California. The US Census also showed the poverty rate in Santa Clarita was 7.7% compared to 14.4% for the entire state. The US Census also found that 87.7% of Santa Clarita residents aged 25 years and older attained a high school degree compared to a 80.8% in California.[5]
