Elections for the Kentucky State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Paul R. Hornback defeated Tony McCurdy in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[1][2][3]

Hornback defeated Democratic candidate David Eaton by a margin of 26,883 to 17,588 in the November 2 general election.[4] Republican candidate Gary Tapp did not seek re-election.
In the May 18 primary election, Hornback beat David Glauber by a margin of 5,328-3,148.[5]
