Located in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States, Pennsylvania is bordered by Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, West Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Lake Erie and Canada. Nicknamed both “the Keystone state” and “the Quaker state,” Pennsylvania was the second state admitted to the Union in 1787. While Harrisburg is the state’s capital, Philadelphia is the state’s most populated city.
