Initiative 900 was a 2005 ballot measure supported by Tim Eyman. The measure dedicated a portion of the state's existing sales and use tax to fund comprehensive performance audits of the Washington state government. The measure states that "It is essential that state and local governments establish credibility with the taxpayers by implementing long-overdue performance audits to ensure accountability and guarantee that tax dollars are spent as cost-effectively as possible."[1]The measure would allow the state auditor to perform independent and comprehensive performance audits on state and local governments, agencies, programs, and accounts.

The measure was approved by voters in the November 2005 general election and went into effect on December 8th, 2005.
