Pevely City Proposition A: Sales Tax & Business Fee was approved on the April 2, 2013 election ballot in Jefferson County, which is in Missouri.

This measure authorized the City of Pevely to impose a fee of $60 per employee on Manufacturing Business and a minimum Manufacturing License fee of $100. The per employee fees could not amount to more than $3,000. This measure also authorizes a 0.05% sales tax ($0.50 per $1,000) on all sales except fuel.[1]

Text of the question:

Shall Chapter 605 of the Pevely City Code, Business, Merchant and Manufacturers License, be amended to impose a fee of $60.00 (Sixty Dollars) per employee with a maximum cap of $3,000.00 (Three Thousand Dollars) per Manufacturing Business with a minimum Fee for a Manufacturing License of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and to impose a fifty cents ($.50) per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) in gross receipts on all sales within the City but to exclude sales of gasoline and diesel fuels at the pump with a Minimum Fee for Merchants License of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00).
