The question on the ballot:

The Board of Fire Commissioners of Pierce County Fire Protection District No. 22 (East Pierce Fire & Rescue) adopted Resolution No. 704 concerning a proposition to finance maintenance and operation expenses. If passed, Proposition No. 1 would allow the District to levy the following excess taxes on all taxable property within the District to be used for maintenance and operations to maintain the current level of fire and emergency medical services: Levy Year: 2012-2013; Collection Year: 2013-2014; Approximate Levy Rate Per $1,000 of Assessed Value: $0.38, $0.43; Levy Amount: $3,000,000, $3,200,000. All as provided in Resolution No. 704. Should Proposition No. 1 be approved?[3]
