The Plymouth Exceed Revenue Limits referendum was a school bond issue on the November 4 ballot in the Plymouth Joint School District which is in Sheboygan County. The purpose of the referendum was to exceed the state-set revenue cap by $6,075,000, with the funds going to the school budget. The additional funds would have been used to pay for basic educational and maintenance costs.

Text of measure

Shall the following Resolution be approved? RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET TO EXCEED REVENUE LIMIT FOR NON-RECURRING PURPOSES BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Plymouth Joint School District, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, that the revenues included in the School District budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $775,000 for the 2008-2009 school year; by $1,100,000 for the 2009-2010 school year and by $1,400,000 for the 2010-2011, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years, for non-recurring purposes consisting of educational and maintenance needs of the District.

Defeated by 3,775 to 4,919.
