Karen Danford joined LBI in November of 2013 as director of the new Policypedia project. Previously Karen worked as program manager of the Judicial Education Program at Northwestern Law and then at the Law & Economics Center of George Mason School of Law. She also taught German for over 20 years after receiving her Ph.D in Germanic Languages and Literature from Yale University. Karen has three grown children and now resides in Wisconsin with her husband, John, who teaches at Loyola Chicago. Her hobbies include cooking, singing, reading, kayaking and cross-country skiing.
