R. Ted Harhai (b. January 23, 1955) is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 58. He was first elected to the chamber after he won a special election on February 3, 1998.

Harhai served on the City Council of Monessen from 1996 to 1997. He then served as the Mayor of Monessen from 1998 to 2002.

Biography

Harhai earned his Bachelor's degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 1977. His professional experience includes working as an investment banker.

Elections for the office of Pennsylvania House of Representatives will consist of a primary election on May 20, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent R. Ted Harhai will face John Scott Nestor in the Democratic primary, while Thomas Logan is unopposed in the Republican primary.[1]
