McKee ran in the 2012 election for Tennessee House of Representatives, District 81. Debra Moody defeated McKee, Rory B. Bricco, and Terry G. Mullins in the August 2 primary election. Conneye Albright ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, and George Thomas Hill is running as an independent. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
