Batson ran in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 105 and was defeated by Mark E. Hutton (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
2010
Batson's opponents in the November 2 general election were Democratic incumbent Melany Barnes and Republican candidate Benny L. Boman. According to official results, Boman defeated Barnes and Batson with 1,834 votes; Barnes received 1,655 votes and Batson received 195.[5]
