Soto did not make it onto the general election ballot. John Shaw (R), Bill Montford (D), David H. Abrams (NPA), and Harrison Arencibian (write-in) faced off in the November 2 general election.
On his campaign website, Soto lists two issues he is concerned about. They are:
- Excerpt: "According to Food Research and Action Center, Florida is ranked 12 in states with the highest rates of food hardship and includes three metropolitan areas with highest rates of food hardship"
- Excerpt: "The youth in Florida deserve better learning facilities. The youth is our greatest asset to our future. The future begins with investing in the youth."
