Regional Planning Council

Regional Planning Councils are quasi-governmental organizations. In Florida they are designated by Ch. 186 of the Florida Statutes. They address problems and plan solutions that are of greater-than-local concern. Local governments recognize RPCs as one of the means to provide input into state policy development.


The State of Florida's 67 counties are divided into eleven planning regions, each of which is represented by a Regional Planning Council (RPC). The 11 Regional Planning Councils of Florida are as follows:[1]
