Marsh ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 119. He defeated Jacqueline Johnson, John Johnson, and Robert Williams in the primary on August 2, 2011, but fell to Sonya Williams-Barnes in a primary runoff election.[1] No Republican candidates filed to run for election.
