Ron Robinson was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 50 of the North Carolina State Senate.

On his Facebook page, Robinson said that he was running for the North Carolina Senate District 50 "to save our schools, bring good paying jobs, and accept Medicaid for 500,000 uninsured."[1]

The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 28, 2014. Incumbent Jim Davis was unopposed in the Republican primary, while Jane Hipps defeated Ron Robinson in the Democratic primary. Davis defeated Hipps in the general election.[2][3]
