Ronald A. Wait (b. April 15, 1944) was a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 69th District from 1995 to 2011. He previously served in the House from 1983 to 1993.

Wait has worked as an accountant, attorney, coach, farm manager, and special education teacher.

He is a Trustee at Belvidere United Methodist Church, Legislative Chair of the Boone County Farm Bureau, Chair of the Boone County Housing Authority, Trustee with the Children's Home and Aid Society, and a member of the United Way Advisory Board[1].
