This measure sought to renew the current Senior levy which is set at a rate of .5 mills for a further five years in order to continue to pay for senior services and facility costs in the county.[2] The levy covers near half the Board's operations budget and would have expired at the end of 2012 if it had not been renewed. The Board pays for senor services, meals as well as activities at the two centers operated by the Board.[3]
