Two Sagola Township Fire & Ambulance Levy Renewal measures was on the February 28, 2012 ballot in the township of Sagola which is in Dickinson County.

Both measures were approved

The first measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further two years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services in the township.

Proposal 1: Shall Sagola Township, Dickinson County, impose a renewal of one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the

tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes and levy it for two (2) years, 2013 through 2014 inclusive, for fire protection, raising an estimated $54,740.00 in the first year the millage is levied?

Proposal 2: Shall Sagola Township, Dickinson County, impose a renewal of (.75) mill ($0.75 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes and levy it for two (2) years, 2013 through 2014 inclusive, for ambulance protection, raising an estimated $41,055.00 in the first year the millage is levied?
