Saint Francis Science Lab Construction Referendum (2008)

The Saint Francis Science Lab Construction Referendum was a school bond issue on the November 4 ballot in the School District of Saint Francis, which is in Milwaukee County. The purpose of the referendum was to issue debt in the amount of $14,900,000, with the funds going to the school budget. The funds will be used to construct a science lab addition to the high school, pay for various improvement projects at the high and elementary schools, and purchase new equipment.

Text of measure

BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Saint Francis School District, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin that there shall be issued pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $14,900,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of constructing a science lab addition to the high school; various repair, replacement and improvement projects at the high school, Deer Creek Intermediate and Willow Glen Primary Schools; and acquiring equipment and furnishings.[1]
